A Gaithersburg orthodontist is collecting excess Halloween candy to be donated to American troops overseas. Orthodontist Gordon S. Groisser, at Village Orthodontics in Gaithersburg, is giving $1 per pound of candy donated. The office address is 555 Quince Orchard Rd. and will be collected November 2nd and November 5th during business hours.
The office has collected more than a ton of candy since the program began in 2005. Donations are shipped to Operation Gratitude, which forwards holiday care packages to American troops.
