Last weekend Lauren Alaina surprised a special fan who has a brain tumor by attending the boy's homecoming dance.

Boxer Show listener Meredith Oare was able to go backstage and meet Lauren during her show in Ashburn, VA. Meredith is a nursing student for George Mason University and was part of a t-shirt fundraiser for West Springfield High School student Jordan Trunfio.
Jordan was diagnosed in January with a stage 3 Astrocytoma brain tumor. He's had radiation and chemotherapy, but the tumor has not responded and is still growing. Doctors have told Jordan it was terminal.
Meredith Oare told the former American Idol contestant the story of Jordan. Lauren has a connection due to her cousin who has brain cancer. Since Lauren had nothing to do after the show, she decided it would be pretty cool to crash the homecoming dance to see Jordan.

By the way....Jordan was named homecoming king. Also, the dress Lauren wore to the dance was the same one she wore at The Grand Ole Opry. She told Meredith that she hoped it was ok to wear a dress to the dance that she already worn at another event.
ANOTHER FUN FACT.....Sadly, Lauren couldn't attend her high school homecoming dance a few weeks ago. This was just as much special for her as it was for Jordan.
