24 hours, 1 game, 1 goal. Support our troops

Just found out about Shootout For Soldiers. A 24 hour lacrosse game benefiting wounded American soldiers via the Wounded Warrior Project.

Participants will play during a particular time slot for either of the two teams – Stars or Stripes – with fellow participants roughly their same age and skill.

Through the common bond of lacrosse, the goal is to raise significant funds for wounded American soldiers as well as establish a stronger connection with local veterans.

About the game:  The 24 hour game will be divided into 24, 1 hour sections.  Participants will play in one of the 1 hour sections, which features 12-minute quarters as well as time allotted between the quarters and games.

When:  June 14th 9am – June 15th 9am 2012

Where:  Boys’ Latin School of Maryland  (Address: 822 West Lake Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21210)

Who:  All male lacrosse players 10 and over.

The event will be benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, and the 24 hour lacrosse game will seek to use the power of the lacrosse community to benefit those who lay their lives on the line to defend this country every day.
