During yesterday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals' shortstop Trea Turner was pulled during the first inning to quarantine following a positive COVID-19 test.

Manager Dave Martinez found out about the positive result following Josh Bell's home run in the top of the first.

"I had to pull him right out of the game. He's got to get isolated right away. Now, he'll get tested and from there we'll see what happens.''

Gerardo Parra replaced Turner on the field following his removal.

Rumors have been circulating about Turner being traded from the team. Due to his COVID-19 result, he will now be out for 10 days, which surpasses Friday's trade deadline.
