Nationals-Mets Opening Day Has Been Postponed...Again

Ballparks Remain Empty On What Would Have Been Baseball's Opening Day

Nationals' fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer until baseball officially returns to DC.

The team has announced that their opening series against the Mets has been postponed "due to continued follow up testing and contract tracing involving members of the Nationals organization."

General Manager Mike Rizzo shared that 3 players have now tested positive for COVID-19, up from 1 on Monday.

It is unknown which players have contracted coronavirus.

The Nats will provide scheduling updates once available.
