5 Washington Nationals to Miss Opening Day Due to COVID-19 Exposure

New York Mets v Washington Nationals

Baseball is BACK in the DMV tomorrow, but 5 Washington Nationals players will not be on the field against the Miami Marlins due to COVID-19 exposure.

Mike Rizzo, Nationals general manager, made the announcement that one player has tested positive for COVID-19, so he will therefore miss Opening Day. But he's not the only one will not be in uniform tomorrow. 4 other players were identified as having close enough contact with him, that they must quarantine as a preventative measure. One staff member will also miss the game due to possible exposure from this player as well.

The identity of the players have not been revealed.
