Location Of 2026 Winter Olympics Has Been Decided

The 2026 Winter Olympics are headed to Italy!

It was announced that Milan-Cortina would host the 2026 Winter Games, beating out Stockholm's bid. According to olympic.org, "The selection of the venues is fully aligned with the ambition of northern Italy to become a world-class hub of excellence for winter sports. The Games will showcase the quality of the selected sports infrastructure and help to invest in renovating/upgrading those venues that need investments."

The Winter Games' last visit to Italy was in 2006 in Turin and Cortina had hosted back in 1956.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held from February 6-22 and the 2026 Winter Paralympics will be held from March 6-15.
