JUST IN: Glen Campbell Dies at 81

The "Rhinestone Cowboy" has passed away at the age of 81, Universal Music Group confirms to Rolling Stone magazine.

Glen Campbell rose to success in the 1960's and in 1968, had sold more records than the Beatles. Glen was most well known for merging his country and pop sounds in a musical revelation and won Grammy Awards in both genres. 

Glen was inducted into the country music hall of fame in 2005 and diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2011.
